Osh, Jan.29, 2020. /Kabar/. Yesterday, Jan.28 Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city hosted the meeting of Deputy Osh Mayor Nurbek Kadyrov with representatives of the Health Ministry of Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh delegation was headed by President of Kazakhstan’s Primary Health Care National Association Tolebai Rahypbekov.
During the meeting, the sides discussed possible areas of future cooperation between the pilot organizations of primary health care (PHC) of Kyrgyzstan and the Kazakh Primary Health Care National Association.
The purpose of the study visit of the Kazakh delegation is to familiarize with the models of PHC in Kyrgyzstan and Osh city, to share experience on implementation of patient-centered approaches at the primary health care level, as well as to identify areas and develop plans for future cooperation.
Note that, in accordance with Kyrgyzstan’s State Program for Public Health Protection and Development of the “Healthy Person-Prosperous Country” Health System for 2019-2030, measures have been initiated to develop primary health care in the health sector of the Kyrgyz Republic, aimed at strengthening the people-centered health system. For this purpose, Kyrgyzstan's sectoral strategy seeks to meet international best practices.
It is based on the WHO global framework for integrated, people-centered health services aimed at achieving universal health coverage.
