A delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev took part in a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Astana.
The Foreign Ministry reported that Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev in his speech briefly informed the participants of the meeting about the priority areas of the activities of the Kyrgyz Republic for the next intersessional period in connection with Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in CSTO from January 1, 2025.
The joint meeting adopted a statement by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, on the situation in Afghanistan, and in connection with the 20th anniversary of granting the CSTO observer status in the UN General Assembly. In addition, draft decisions were approved regarding the development and improvement of political and military cooperation between the CSTO member states, financial, economic and legal support for the activities of the Organization, submitted for consideration by the Heads of State during the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
