Bishkek, May 30, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Imangaziev today met with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan led by Additional Secretary Muhammad Salim.
According to the ministry, during the meeting, the Pakistani side was provided with detailed information about the incident involving foreign citizens.
Imangaziev noted that the competent authorities of the country have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of foreign citizens in Kyrgyzstan, and at this stage, comprehensive work is being carried out to prevent incidents of this kind in the future.
The parties discussed the issues of the stay of Pakistani citizens in Kyrgyzstan and their studies at universities in the country. Along with this, an agreement was reached to hold consular consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries to discuss existing migration issues.
In turn, Salim expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for the assistance provided in ensuring the safety of Pakistani citizens in Kyrgyzstan.
