Delegation of the European Parliament visiting Kyrgyzstan

Five members of the European Parliament (MEPs) arrived in Bishkek on 20 February with three-day long visit.

In the course of the visit they will participate in the Twelfth Meeting of the EU-Kyrgyz Republic Parliamentary Cooperation Committee scheduled to the second part of the day on 20 February.

MEPs will also meet with the Chairman of Kyrgyz Parliament Chynybai Tursunbekov, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Health, and nongovernmental organizations.

Additionally, MEPs plan to visit EU cofunded project in the vicinity of Bishkek and Kyrgyz National University to meet with participants of the EU funded Erasmus students exchange programme.

The delegation includes Members of the European Parliament Tatjana Ždanoka, Andrejs Mamikins, Helga Stevens, Ulrike Muller and is led by Iveta Grigule.
