Kazan, June 23 / Kabar /. The deploying of Kyrgyz troops in Syria was not discussed during the state visit of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev to Russia, Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev told journalists in Kazan.

Recall that the Russian media published information that Russia proposed deploying troops from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to monitor the de-escalation zones in Syria. In particular, the media referred to head of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee Vladimir Shamanov and spokesman for Turkish President Ibrahim Kalin. The Turkish official said that this issue was discussed during negotiations with the Russian President's special representative for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev.

The Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic said that in general, the issues related to regional security are being discussed at different levels of international and regional associations.

"In particular, this issue was discussed within the framework of the CSTO at the initiative of the Russian side. There were consultations, but this issue did not receive any development," Abdyldaev said.
