Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with the country’s Mufti Zamir Kary Rakiev and discussed the religious situation, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan reported.
At the meeting, Baisalov noted that the country's leadership pays special attention to ensuring that there is traditional Islam in the country and stressed that the muftiate plays a big role in this.
In turn, the Mufti briefed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers on the activities of the department and assured that explanatory measures were being taken to prevent the spread of negative trends.
Also during the meeting, the mufti and Baisalov discussed a number of issues related to strengthening friendship between different faiths and the state of religious education.
