Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2023 / Kabar/. On behalf of the President, this year it is necessary to build more than 50 small hydropower plants, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev told during the collegium of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the meeting, reports on the results of the work of the ministry, subordinate organizations and enterprises of the fuel and energy complex for 2022 and work plans for 2023 were heard and discussed.
Bakyt Torobaev instructed the relevant leaders to provide energy companies with the necessary equipment, as well as to speed up the implementation of renewable energy projects, noting that if this issue is delayed, the possibility of returning certificates will be considered.
In addition, Bakyt Torobaev stressed that the work plans scheduled for 2023 must be completed on time, in particular, the implementation of projects aimed at developing the energy industry must be accelerated.
For the successful passage of the autumn-winter period of 2022/2023, it is planned to provide the Toktogul reservoir with 8.6 billion m³ of water until April 1, 2023. Also this year it is planned to import up to 2.2 billion kWh of electricity.
In addition, coal consumption in the republic is 2996.6 thousand tons, fuel oil consumption - 48.5 thousand tons.
