Deputy chairman of Kyrgyz Cabinet and WB regional director discuss updating of feasibility study of Kambarata HPP-1

Bishkek, June 9, 2023. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev met with the World Bank Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Charles Cormier.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, including a project to update the feasibility study of the Kambarata HPP-1. The deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted the importance of a qualitative compilation of the financial model of this project.

He also informed that a medium-term tariff policy for electricity has been adopted, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency and investment attractiveness of projects for the construction of power plants.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to carry out further joint work on the implementation of projects aimed at developing infrastructure in the fields of energy, transport and agriculture.
