Bishkek, April 1, 2022 . / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev met with representatives of flour mills, vegetable oil and sugar companies, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 20 companies.
Bakyt Torobayev noted the importance of food security, emphasizing the role of the country's agro-industrial sector.
He recalled the ongoing work of the Cabinet on state support of the agricultural sector, the development of agro-industrial clusters by providing soft loans.
"KGS 10 billion have been allocated for 9 major agro-clusters. State banks are beginning to provide credit funds at 6 percent per annum," said Bakyt Torobayev.
Topical issues of agro-industrial enterprises were discussed during the meeting.
