Bishkek, Aug. 12, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov met with the scholarship holders of the KOICA-2022 program, the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Self-Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Department for the preparation of decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirbek Kozhoev, Director of the State Agency Elchibek Jantaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Lee Won Jae and Chairman of the Korea International Cooperation Agency Yi Jongsu.
It is noted that in January 2022, the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Self-Government Affairs, together with the representative office of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in the Kyrgyz Republic, received applications for a scholarship. Within the framework of the scholarship, more than 40 employees of the state, municipal and budgetary sectors have applied for participation in the KOICA scholarship program. Among them, 14 employees have successfully passed the selection and are preparing to go to study in Korea this month.
Thus, out of 14 employees who successfully passed the selection, 2 entered the doctoral program and 12 - the master's program. “The most relevant areas in education are public administration, science and technology, finance, education, regional development, trade and industrial policy, energy, digitalization and agriculture, the report said.
