Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2025. / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Abakirov invited U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Lesslie Viguerie to a meeting to discuss issues related to the inclusion of Keremet Ban" JSC, Gazprom Neft Asia LLC, and Munai Myrza CJSC in the U.S. sanctions list.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Abakirov expressed concern about the inclusion of Keremet Bank and the aforementioned companies in the sanctions list. He emphasized that the relevant state authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic regularly engage with American partners on cooperation issues to address such concerns.
Deputy Minister Abakirov also noted the Kyrgyz side's confusion over the inclusion of Keremet Bank JSC, Gazprom Neft Asia LLC, and Munai Myrza CJSC in the sanctions list and formally requested their removal.
In response, Ambassador Viguerie confirmed the United States' readiness to work jointly to find mutually acceptable solutions for removing the mentioned Kyrgyz companies from the sanctions list.
