Bishkek, Oct. 18, 2021 / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev met with Ambassador of Lithuania to Kyrgyzstan with his residence in Nur-Sultan Gintautas Vasiulis.
During the conversation, topical issues of the bilateral agenda were considered with an emphasis on the need to further strengthen relations by organizing mutual visits, holding regular consultations between foreign ministries and the participation of Lithuanian delegation and business representatives in the First EU-CA Economic Forum in Bishkek on Nov. 5, 2021.
The need to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic sphere and the implementation of joint projects in such areas as agriculture, IT technologies and digitalization, transport and logistics, phytosanitary and standardization, including projects under the auspices of the European Union, was noted.
The sides discussed specific issues of expanding the legal framework, developing cooperation in the transport sector, including the issue of opening flights, and joint work to combat COVID-19.
Kyrgyzstan and Lithuania also expressed their intention to actively interact at various international platforms.
