Deputy FM of Kyrgyzstan discusses cooperation with US officials

Bishkek, March 30, 2023. / Kabar/. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Moldogaziev held meetings with high-ranking US officials and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United States said that, on March 28, Moldogaziev met with the head of the policy department for the Indo-Pacific region of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Meredith Popper.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on topical issues and promising areas of bilateral cooperation with the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).

Moldogaziev also met with the US National Security Council Senior Director for Central Asia Nicholas Berliner.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of bilateral relations and further prospects for effective cooperation. The parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment and readiness to develop bilateral cooperation.

In addition, on March 29, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Deputy Assistant Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Anjali Kaur.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation, the progress in the implementation of regional projects with the participation of the United States, as well as other important issues of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States.

Moldogaziev also met with Deputy US Trade Representative for South and Central Asia Brendan Lynch. During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues and promising areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as the interaction of the Kyrgyz Republic with the United States under the Framework Agreement on Trade and Investment of the United States and the countries of Central Asia.
