Deputy FM of Kyrgyzstan meets new head of WHO Country Office

Bishkek, Feb. 14, 2019. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlan Abdrakhmanov met head of the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Kyrgyzstan Nazira Artykova on the occasion of her appointment to this position.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that Abdrakhmanov congratulated Artykova on her appointment as head of the WHO Country Office in the Kyrgyz Republic. During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for the cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and WHO to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in the field of health.

Artykova, in turn, informed about the activities of WHO in the Kyrgyz Republic, its priorities and future plans.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic expressed appreciation to WHO for the support for Kyrgyzstan in improving the health of the population, in reforming the health sector, and in increasing the population’s access to quality medical services.
