Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2018 / Kabar /. The first round of Kyrgyz-Romanian political consultations was held in Bishkek at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
During the consultations, the sides stressed the importance of further developing bilateral cooperation, including by organizing reciprocal visits at all levels, strengthening the legal framework, developing inter-parliamentary cooperation, expressing hope for further intensification of the whole complex of relations between countries, including in the direction of enhancing trade economic relations.
Also, the parties expressed readiness to develop soon and sign a plan for cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
In an open and constructive atmosphere, an exchange of views took place on key aspects of the international and regional agenda, including interaction at the UN, EU, other international organizations and cooperation in development issues.
In addition, within the framework of political consultations, a meeting was held with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dinara Kemelova.
During the brief meeting, the sides discussed issues of the Romanian experience of international cooperation, interaction between the two countries in the framework of international organizations, as well as capacity building in the field of trade, cooperation in the field of tourism, energy, etc.
At the conclusion of the meetings, the sides reaffirmed their mutual desire to continue close practical cooperation.a
