Deputy FM of South Korea: Kyrgyzstan is considered important partner for democracy

Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2018. / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurlan Abdrakhmanov met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Korea Yun Kang-hyeon, who is in Kyrgyzstan to hold the Korean-Central Asian event "Karavan".

Abdrakhmanov noted that Kyrgyzstan considers the Republic of Korea as one of the important and priority partners in the Asian region.

In turn, Yun Kang-hyeon reiterated that Kyrgyzstan is considered an important Korean democracy partner.

In order to continue the political dialogue between the two countries, the sides reached an agreement to exchange visits at high and highest levels, as well as between parliamentarians of the two countries.

The sides also touched upon aspects of cooperation in the framework of a regional and multilateral format through the Forum Central Asia - Republic of Korea.

Having voiced that the Forum platform is seen as an important aspect of interaction between countries and peoples in the region of Central Asia, Abdrakhmanov noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the work of the Forum Secretariat. The Kyrgyz side nominated an employee of the ministry for the internship at the Secretariat of this Forum.
