Deputy head of Cabinet meets with JDS Project scholars selected to study at Japanese universities

Bishkek, Aug. 16, 2024. / Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov met with JDS (Japanese Development Scholarship) scholars selected to study at Japanese universities.

The meeting was also attended by Director of the State Agency for Civil Service and Local Government Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Goda Hideki.

This year, 20 civil servants will be sent to Japanese universities under the Human Resource Development Scholarship Program.

In his speech, the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed gratitude to the Japanese government for this program, emphasizing the importance of the project for developing the country's human resources potential.

"Today we are sending the 18th stream of scholars for training. For you, this is a unique opportunity and responsibility, a real gift from the state to gain invaluable knowledge and experience. Our country is at a stage of stable development, demonstrating economic growth. For the further successful development of our state, we need strong, professional leaders, and we hope that after your studies in Japan, you will return and contribute to the development of Kyrgyzstan," said Baisalov.

Japanese Ambassador Goda Hideki, in turn, expressed his commitment to further developing cooperation and friendship between the two countries. He wished the JDS scholarship holders success in their studies, expressing hope that after studying in Japan, they will contribute to the development of the country.
