Deputy head of Kyrgyz Cabinet proposes opening IDB representative office in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 2, 2022 . / Kabar / . First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev met with heads of several financial institutions of Saudi Arabia, the press service of the Cabinet reported.

Thus, Kozhoshev met with President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser. During the meeting, the sides discussed joint projects implemented by the Islamic Development Bank in the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of transport, irrigation and health.

The first deputy chairman of the Kyrgyz cabinet positively assessed the activities of the IDB, noting the great importance for the health system of the republic of five mobile clinics, which arrived in Kyrgyzstan.

Kozhoshev also suggested opening an IDB representative office in Kyrgyzstan, which will greatly facilitate the coordination of project documents and their implementation.

In turn, Muhammad Suleiman Al Jasser said that the Islamic Development Bank attaches great importance to cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

Further, Kozhoshev met with Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan bin Abdurahman Al-Marshad.

During the meeting, the first chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet noted that with the assistance of the Saudi Fund for Development, various projects in the economic, agricultural and transport sectors are currently being implemented in the republic.

In turn, the director of the Fund noted that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Fund's activities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

"I would like not only to complete the planned projects by this date, but also to launch new projects that will benefit the Kyrgyz people," said Sultan bin Abdurahman Al-Marshad, adding that he plans to visit Kyrgyzstan on the anniversary date.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold the 4th meeting of the Arab Coordination Group this year.
