Bishkek, July 7, 2021. / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Zhalalidin Rakhmatullayev, during a briefing in Bishkek, urged citizens to isolate themselves in order to protect themselves from infection with COVID-19.
He noted that no restrictions are being introduced now.
“We strongly recommend and even demand citizens to wear masks all the time, wash their hands more often, use antiseptics, not go to crowded places, and keep a distance. I urge young people to pay attention to elderly parents, not to let them in family celebrations temporarily, to make sure that they are more in the fresh air,” he said.
Rakhmatullaev also said that all health workers in the country are experiencing physical and psychological stress. “I ask you all to help them and follow the rules. I recommend citizens to go into self-isolation for a while,” he said.
1198 new cases of infection were detected on July 7, raising the tally of infections in the country to 134,501.
