Bishkek, March 30, 2023. / Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic Beksultan Ibraimov and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Anoprienko discussed issues of cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in protecting the environment, natural resources, combating climate change, as well as issues of subsoil use, cooperation in the field of forestry and air pollution.
The meeting also noted the importance of biodiversity conservation, in particular the habitat of the snow leopard and cooperation within the framework of the Global Program for the Conservation of the Snow Leopard and its Ecosystems.
The parties agreed to actively cooperate on a wide range of issues and noted the importance of continuing cooperation between the environmental ministries of the two countries - within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commissions, the SCO, the UNFCCC and other international platforms.
