Bishkek, June 22, 2020. /Kabar/. First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Baatyrbekov inspected the Semetei observation center, located near Manas International Airport, the Government press service said.
"As the number of citizens infected with coronavirus grows, we are increasing the number of places in all medical facilities in the country. In addition, there are ready-made buildings at the former Gansi Airbase, where it is possible to accommodate a sufficient number of citizens diagnosed with COVID-19. There are all conditions for their stay and treatment," the first deputy PM said.
Thus, there are 7 complete buildings with a capacity of 120 people each in the territory taken under quarantine. The wards are designed for two patients.
"On Prime Minister's instructions, there is a search for a place for a tent camp in case of mass infection. I want to stress that at this time there is no need for tent campsites. But we must be prepared for any situation. Citizens should be treated under appropriate conditions", Almazbek Baatyrbekov concluded.
He attached importance to the observance of security measures by employees serving the quarantine zone, and charged to provide them with sufficient amount of antiseptic, disinfection and individual protection means.
