Deputy PM Madumarov holds meeting on elimination of consequences of mudflow in Naryn Oblast

Bishkek, June 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akram Madumarov held a meeting on eliminating the consequences of mudflow in Naryn town of Naryn Oblast, the press service of the Government said.

As Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Zamirbek Askarov explained, heavy rain caused increase in water level in Chon-Naryn canal. As a result, the water flooded the yards of 60 residential buildings, farm buildings and roads located in the Batysh, Alma-Bak, Ak-Korgon and Kotormo sections. Elimination of the consequences of the village is currently under way.

Deputy PM Madumarov stressed the importance of preventive measures to avoid emergency situations and reduce potential risks. He gave a number of instructions to relevant state bodies on timely allocation of financial resources, implementation of a set of preventive measures.
