Deputy PM Madumarov holds regular meeting of Republican HQ for elections

Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akram Madumarov held a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for assistance to electoral commissions in addressing issues and logistics of the elections, the press service of the Government said Friday.

Madumarov noted that a few days earlier a narrow format meeting of the Security Council was held to consider preparations for the parliamentary elections.

"As a result of the Security Council's meeting, a Decision has been signed that includes a set of recommendations to the state and local authorities on conducting the election process. All these items should be implemented qualitatively, timely and in full. One of the important points is to develop and approve before Sept. 10, 2020 together with law enforcement agencies a plan of measures to ensure law enforcement and security of citizens during the preparation and holding of elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic," Akram Madumarov said.

He continued that another no less important point is to develop and approve a plan together with the Central Commission on Elections and Referendum of the Kyrgyz Republic, local state administrations, Mayor's Offices of the Bishkek and Osh cities and local governments by Sept. 15, 2020 to prevent the infection of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, election commissioners and other persons involved in the election process with coronavirus infection and community - acquired pneumonia.

During the HQ meeting, reports on the arrival of international observers were heard, as well as the issue of providing relevant documents to persons detained as suspects and accused.

As a result of the meeting, a number of instructions were given to the relevant state bodies.
