Deputy speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament placed in observation after trip to Germany

Bishkek, Mar.13, 2020. /Kabar/. Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Aida Kasymaliyeva is waiting for the results of the coronavirus test after her trip to Germany.

According to Kasymaliyeva, she has arrived in Bishkek tonight, Mar. 13, and is placed on home observation for 14 days.

"We couldn't cancel the trip to Berlin because the preparation took 3 years at the invitation of the Bundestag. There was a meeting with vice speakers. Half of the planned meetings had to be cancelled because of the epidemiological situation. We changed the tickets and went back to Kyrgyzstan. The tests, as I was told, will be ready today. I am in good health, no cough, I feel good. During the quarantine, I will work at home," Kasymaliyeva said.

Note that, according to the classification of the Ministry of Health, Germany is in the first category of countries.

Citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who arrived from the first category countries, including transit, are subject to 14-day examination in specially designated places. This category includes all citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, holders of ID-cards, civil, service and diplomatic passports.

According to the order of the ministry, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the republic, changes have been made in the classification of countries insecure in terms of COVID-19 spread.

Citizens of China, South Korea, Italy, Iran and Japan are temporarily restricted to enter the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kyrgyz citizens who stayed in these countries, upon return to Kyrgyzstan, must obey the prescribed response measures according to approved algorithms of actions (14-day quarantine in medical facilities, etc.).

Countries of the first category include China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan (taking into account cases on the cruise ships).

The second category consists of France, Germany, Spain, Singapore and the USA.

The third category includes Kuwait, Bahrain, Thailand, Taiwan, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, Canada, Iraq, UAE.

All persons entering from first category countries are subject to observation. They are not allowed to leave observation during quarantine (14 days).

Persons entering Kyrgyzstan from countries of second and third categories are subject to home isolation (home quarantine) and daily monitoring by a primary health care provider.
