Designer from Kyrgyzstan wins prize at Etnomoda IBEFF international competition

Bishkek, Dec. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. Designer from Kyrgyzstan Kamala Abdykadyrova became a prize-winner of the Etnomoda IBEFF - Petersburg international competition. By decision of the judges, she took second place, yielding the championship to Georgian fashion designer Ia Gulisashvili.

Evaluation of the panel of judges of nine people was posted on the official page of the contest on VKontakte. They rated Abdykadyrova's “The Color of the Earth” collection at 73 points, and the collection of a contestant from Georgia scored 87 points.

"Hooray! Good news in the outgoing year! My collection “The Color of the Earth” took the 2nd place in the “Eco Fashion” nomination in the virtual Etnomoda IBEFF - Petersburg competition! It is very pleasant that the 1st place was also taken by a collection from felt by talented master Ia Gulisashvili from Tbilisi, Georgia. Moreover, according to a survey of members of the jury, the collection of Ia Gulisashvili was recognized as the best, regardless of the nomination! Congratulations Ia! Felt rules and it's amazing!”, Abdykadyrova herself shared the good news on her Facebook page.

The Etnomoda IBEFF Festival was held last fall in a virtual format. Designers of clothes, fashion theaters, stylists and makeup artists, as well as graphic artists, illustrators, artists and photographers were invited to participate in it. Winners in the respective nominations will receive the right to participate in the summer session of the project - White Nights Fashion Week, which will traditionally be held in St. Petersburg in June 2019.
