Bishkek, Sept. 19, 2018. /Kabar/. A Bishkek-Minsk teleconference took place in Bishkek with the participation of deputies, representatives of state bodies, as well as experts from Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. The topic of the discussion was the issue of education standards throughout Eurasian EconomicUnion countries.
A political expert from Belarus noted that Central Asia residents are attracted mainly by low-cost education at the universities of Minsk.
“At present Belarus provides educational services in those professions that, in our opinion, will be in demand in the future. In particular, owing to the solid foundation laid at the time of the USSR, we have a serious school of medicine, processing industry, machine engineering, and information technology, programming”, Alyaksey Dzermant said.
Moreover, Associate Professor at the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies of Kyrgyz national University named after Jusup Balasagyn Sergey Ivanov stressed the importance of training domestic specialists in major industries.
“Clothing industry is well-developed in Kyrgyzstan. Let’s train specialists for this industry. The majority of contemporary sewing workshops resemble medieval workhouses. There is a need for training designers, process managers, production designers to change the situation. Agriculture and tourism also have great potential”, Alyaksey Dzermant noted.
