Osh, Oct. 20, 2021 . / Kabar / . Mayor of Osh city Almaz Mambetov held a meeting with newly elected president of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU), Mederbek Sydykov.
During the meeting, the sides discussed promising plans for bilateral cooperation, including the development of infrastructure at the stadium named after Suyumbayev, where the Alai football club from Osh trains.
It is planned to reconstruct the reserve field by organizing an artificial surface, as well as a special emphasis is placed on the reconstruction of the stadium lighting systems in accordance with international requirements, so that in the future it will be possible to hold matches of the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the meeting, Mayor Mambetov reported that active work is underway to promote the tourist potential of Osh as a provider on the Great Silk Road. As part of these plans, it is expected to attract tourists, investments, and various events, including sports.
"We want to share with you a vision of what Alai FC can become in the next 5 years. According to our proposed strategic development plan, Alai can become the best sports club in the whole Ferghana Valley. There are all the prerequisites for this. The organization of various international tournaments will raise the status of Osh," said the expert.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation, including the strengthening of a systematic approach to improve the conditions for the coaches and the training of players, the popularization of various sports among the citizens, which can be held at the stadium, the issues of integration of the stadium into the social life.
