Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2022 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met on Thursday with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Manager for the Kyrgyz Republic Kanokpan Lao-Araya.
The head of the Cabinet noted that the Asian Development Bank is a strategic partner providing meaningful support to the republic in all key areas of development.
"The Kyrgyz Republic is interested in supporting the transformation of the country's economy into a diversified and competitive private sector economy capable of creating jobs and integrating into regional and global value chains," he said.
Kanokpan Lao-Araya informed Akylbek Zhaparov about the upcoming visit of the ADB Board of Directors to Kyrgyzstan in October this year and the importance of discussing a new partnership strategy with the country for 2023-2027.
The head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet emphasized the priority areas of the country's development, including the development of projects on renewable energy sources and climate change.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of a new partnership strategy, promotion of the current projects of the financial institution in the country, as well as further strengthening of cooperation.
