Bishkek, March 15, 2022 . / Kabar /. Development of science in Kyrgyzstan is allocated 10 times less funds than in neighboring countries, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the republic Altai Borubaev said at a press conference in Bishkek on Tuesday.
"0.7% is allocated in Tajikistan, which is 10 times more, in Kazakhstan - 30 times more than Kyrgyzstan, not to mention Russia and Western countries. Of course, there is already some progress with the arrival of new president, but we hope for the best," Borubaev noted.
The academician noted that if the funding was increased to 0.1%, conditions would be much better.
Chairwoman of the National Certification Commission Bakyt Tynalieva added that each year the amount allocated is 0.08% of GDP.
