Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2021 / Kabar /. As part of Digital Week 2021, a press briefing was held with the ministers of digitalization of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. At the event, the digital ministers of the two countries summed up the results of bilateral meetings as part of the first event of the Digital Week 2021 - the Central Asian Forum on Internet Governance.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastan Dogoev noted that the key results of the talks was the signing of a Protocol on close interaction, further cooperation in the field of ICT and communications through the creation of an interdepartmental working group Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan.
The minister noted the achievement of an agreement on interaction between the High-Tech Park of Kyrgyzstan and Astana Hub in the development of the startup ecosystem, attracting investments, creating joint acceleration programs and building human resources.
In addition, he noted the positively considered issue of student exchange in educational programs in the field of IT technologies, as well as advanced training of state and municipal employees in this area.
Dastan Dogoev also drew attention to the elaboration of the issue of considering the possibility of placing and storing data in data processing centers located on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in his speech.
The head of digital development, innovation, aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin during the briefing outlined the following key results.
First, the Kazakh minister noted the composition of the participants in his delegation and drew attention to the fact that the bilateral meetings were attended not only by civil servants, but also represented the business sector and IT companies. Mr. Musin drew attention to the discussion of an important initiative to support and develop the IT sector and the digital development of Central Asian countries in general - this is the idea of creating a regional Turkic-speaking ecosystem of startups to solve their own problems. He noted that it is planned to invite Uzbekistan to this initiative as well.
Both ministers noted the successful result of the cross-border exchange of documents through the EAEC integration gateway. By the way, the digital exchange demonstration was implemented as part of the KIT Forum 2021 IT exhibition.
At the briefing, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was also signed between the e-Health Center under the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and Cerebra.ai Ltd of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Digital Week is one of the major fashion and international events in the country. The mission of this large-scale initiative is to unite all constructive forces, bright and proactive, national and international experts, digital leaders of the public sector around the key idea - the development of digital Kyrgyzstan for the urgent need to find a niche for our country in the actively emerging new global digital map of the world.
