Digitalization is key tool in fight against corruption - Jeenbekov

Bishkek, Sept. 12, 2020 / Kabar /. “Digitalization is a key tool in the fight against corruption,” President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.

In a regular interview with the state radio, answering a question about measures to digitalize and improve the capital city of Bishkek, the head of state stressed that in addition to the main emphasis on the development of the regions, the problems of the capital always remain in the center of attention.

The President noted that the digitalization of the capital is under strict control – the work is underway to digitize all hospitals, as well as institutions in the capital that provide public services, under the direct control of the president.

He once again noted that the measures taken to digitalize will reduce the bureaucracy in the lives of citizens, create comfortable conditions for them when receiving public services, and improve their standard of living.

“As I said earlier, we cannot stop corruption by putting everyone in jail or replacing leaders where there is a corrupt scheme. Only through digitalization we can put up a reliable barrier to corruption,” the President emphasized.
