Digitalization will reduce corruption: President Jeenbekov

Bishkek, Oct.4, 2019. /Kabar/. Digital technologies will significantly change the public and municipal services, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said at the conference “Digital Transformation in Central Asia” in Bishkek.

The President noted that the change in the state and municipal service is one of the main goals of the country within the framework of digitalization.

“Digital solutions will be expanded and deepened in order to identify citizens’ demands and the need of society more quickly. Transparency of the decision-making process, openness and efficiency of interaction with citizens will be raised to a new qualitative level with the help of digital technologies,” said the President.

He also noted digitalization will increase the efficiency of state bodies and reduce the human factor, which reduces the level of corruption.

President Jeenbekov also spoke about the implementation of the Sanarip Aimak (Digital Region) platform.

“The local and municipal services will be provided in digital form. Public and municipal servants need to change their mindset, adapt to the new conditions, created by digitalization and be at the forefront of reform,” he added.
