Diplomatic missions of CSTO member states to raise awareness about CSTO's work

Bishkek, April 20, 2021 . / Kabar / . A session of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) took place on 19 April. CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas took part in the session. Participants of the session agreed a plan on consultations about matters of foreign policy, security, and defense and a draft resolution of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council on stepping up efforts to raise awareness about the CSTO's work, BelTA has learned.

According to CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov, in the run-up to sessions of CSTO charter bodies, which are due in April-May, a plan on consultations of the CSTO member states' representatives on matters of foreign policy, security, and defense in H2 2021-H1 2022 was discussed and approved. A draft resolution of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council on joint efforts of diplomatic missions of the CSTO member states to raise the awareness about the CSTO's work was also agreed. The CSTO Permanent Council decided to forward these documents for consideration at forthcoming sessions of the CSTO charter bodies in accordance with the established procedure.

A number of important political statements and documents were also discussed. Work on them will continue at consequent sessions of the CSTO Permanent Council.
