Doctors in focus of coronavirus infection to be replaced

Bishkek, March 25, 2020. /Kabar/. The first volunteer team has left for regions with focus of coronavirus infection in order to replace medical personnel there, Head of the Public Health Department of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova said during a briefing.

According to her, resuscitators and infectious disease specialists went to the places.

"With participation of Deputy Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova, we sent the first voluntary team to these places. They were provided with travel expenses, personal protective equipment necessary for work in infection centers. This is only the first brigade to be sent to replace those employees," Akmatova said.

To date, 44 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the republic, including 20 in Osh Oblast, 19 in Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, 3 in Bishkek, 1 in Chui Oblast and 1 in Batken Oblast.
