Dogs involved in search for bodies of two people swept away by mudflows in Aksy

Bishkek, July 13, 2021 . / Kabar / . Militia officers are helping residents of Aksy region (Jalal-Abad Oblast) in eliminating the consequences of mudflows and ensure public order, the Department of Internal Affairs of Jalal-Abad Oblast said.

On July 12, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m. the front office of the Aksy region Internal Affairs Department received information on heavy rains causing a strong flood, which resulted in eight people being swept away.

The leadership and personnel of the Aksy Internal Affairs Department went to the scene of the incident. In addition, Jalal-Abad Oblast Governor Absattar Syrgabayev, head of the Jalal-Abad Oblast Department of Internal Affairs, police colonel Ashim Tagayev, head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Jalal-Abad, colonel Zakirov, appropriate staff with special equipment went to the scene and currently organized work in search activities, in eliminating the effects of mudflows.

At present, the bodies of 6 people have been found and identified. The search for the remaining 2 citizens is continuing. Special service dogs and employees of the Canine Center of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Jalal-Abad region were also involved in the search activities.
