Domestic company in Issyk-Kul Oblast started producing PPE

Bishkek, Aug. 3, 2020 /Kabar/. In Issyk-Kul Oblast, the Aiko Seiko company has begun to produce personal protective equipment of domestic production, the press service of Kyrgyz President reported Monday.

Today, Aug. 3, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov familiarized with the activities of the Aiko Seiko textile enterprise, which produces specialized clothing in Ak-Suu region of Issyk-Kul Oblast.

Head of the enterprise Kuban Zhusuyev informed that their main activity is sewing special clothes for various enterprises and organizations, including law enforcement agencies of the country.

"Aiko Seiko in translation from Japanese means striving for success and accuracy. We have business relations with Japanese companies. Our motto is to provide Kyrgyzstanis with locally made clothing," he said.

Zhusuyev added there are employment opportunities for 120 people at the factory, but in order to prevent coronavirus infection, 60 employees are currently working.

Chairman of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) Aziz Aaliyev informed that in 2018, the Fund allocated a loan of $ 590 thousand for reconstruction of an empty building for production and purchase of modern equipment.

This year, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the country, the RKDF provided a loan of $ 100,000 at a reduced rate for the production of personal protective equipment. PPE will be delivered to the country's regions.

President Jeenbekov spoke with the company's staff, noting that the government, local authorities and financial institutions of the country give priority to the support of local enterprises as part of the state policy on regional development.

He noted with satisfaction the activities of Aiko Seiko Ltd have been reoriented due to the current situation in the country.

In recent years, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, as well as other financial institutions of the country, in accordance with the state policy on development of regional projects, has directed about 70% of its assets to support small and medium businesses in rural areas.
