Bishkek, July 16, 2020 / Kabar /. Domestic tourism in Kyrgyzstan is not going as expected, Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Zhamankulov said at a briefing.
This year, the department focused on the development of domestic tourism, since the borders are closed and foreign tourists cannot enter the country.
“For the time being, our domestic tourism is 'sluggish'. Today, transport logistics between the regions has been suspended due to the epidemiological situation. So far, people have not been able to go to tourist places. Therefore, we will continue to look at how events will develop,” he expressed hope.
