Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Vice Prime Minister Jenish Razakov took part in a round table on the draft Cybersecurity Strategy for 2019-2023, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government’s Office reported.
This document was developed by the State Committee of Information Technologies and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the Secretariat of the Security Council, as well as national and international experts.
The Vice Prime Minister took note of the particular importance of implementing the above strategy.
“Our life is transition to the electronic mode, respectively, there are certain risks and the issue of cyber security both in our society and in the world is relevant not only for the ordinary citizen, but also for the state as a whole,” he said.
The Vice Prime Minister said that the campaigns of state and corporate cyber espionage, as well as secret data collection, including through malicious software, have acquired a large scale.
Jenish Razakov stressed that for the sustainable development of the state, it is necessary to ensure its cybersecurity, maintain the level of protection of electronic information resources, systems and information and communication infrastructure from external and internal threats.
“In these circumstances, Kyrgyzstan is carrying out its own digital transformation of the national economy and providing citizens with access to modern digital services,” the Vice Prime Minister added.
During the presentation, it was noted that the main goal of the Strategy is to formulate a national cybersecurity policy to ensure the level of security of citizens, business and the state, allowing them to protect their vital interests in cyberspace and ensure sustainable socio-economic development of the country, including digital transformation of the national economy.
