Drinking water quality checked at 360 points in Bishkek

Bishkek, Apr. 4, 2019. /Kabar/. The quality of drinking water is checked at 360 points in Bishkek, the municipal water supply utility Bishkekvodokanal reported.

The chemical and bacteriological laboratory of the Bishkekvodokanal, or rather the division of the Gorvodoprovod enterprise, carries out constant and close monitoring of the quality of drinking water supplied to the population.

The quality control of drinking water in the water supply system is carried out according to physico-chemical, microbiological, radiological and parasitological indicators.

The laboratory staff periodically checks for residual chlorine in water intake structures and from 360 control points of the distribution network.

Laboratory control of water quality is one of the most important preventive measures to ensure sanitary reliability of water supply systems.
