Bishkek, March 4, 2022 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz-Emirati business Forum is held on March 3, 2022 as part of the official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev to the United Arab Emirates with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the UAE and the temporary representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, opened as part of the World EXPO 2020 Dubai.
Along with the Secretary General of the Federation of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event was also attended by the heads of the chambers of 7 emirates of the UAE, representatives of the business community of the UAE and the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
At the opening of the business forum, Kyrgyz Ambassador A. Zhumabaev and Director of the Department for Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E. Omuraliev welcomed the Kyrgyz side, and the Secretary General of the Federation of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry Humaid Ben Salem spoke from the Emirati side.
The main goals of organizing a business forum are to promote the export products of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE market, attract investments and establish business relations between interested representatives of the business communities of the two countries.
During the business forum, the Department of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held for the Arab side a presentation of trade and investment opportunities of Kyrgyzstan with an emphasis on the export potential of agricultural products (meat and meat processing industry, honey, dried fruits, nuts, etc.), textile industry, and also the potential of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of small hydropower plants and renewable energy sources, taking into account the global trend towards the development of a green economy; the importance of Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation was noted, where the Kyrgyz Republic could serve as a gateway for Arab business circles to enter the markets of the EAEU countries, the western part of China and the promising market of Afghanistan through the Kyrgyz Republic, while the UAE could also serve as a hub for Kyrgyz companies wishing to promote their products not only to the UAE market, but also to the potential markets of the Persian Gulf and the Arab world, taking into account the developed transport and logistics infrastructure and significant achievements of the UAE in the trade and economic aspect. Along with this, one of the leading tourism companies of Kyrgyzstan held a presentation of the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, outlined the advantages of the tourism industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and announced invitations to visit the Kyrgyz Republic in order to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Further, in an active, live mode, bilateral meetings of the Kyrgyz business with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the 7 emirates of the UAE and Arab business circles were held.
At the end of the business forum, the sides outlined the need for the earliest possible formation of a high-quality composition of the Kyrgyz and Emirati parts of the Kyrgyz-Emirati Business Council and holding its meeting as soon as possible during 2022.
