EAEU Economic Forum in memory of Dzhumakadyr Akeneyev held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. Bishkek EAEU Economic Forum in memory of Dzhumakadyr Akeneyev: “Topical Issues of Eurasian Integration: Global and Regional Aspect" was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan at the initiative of the Pikir Club of Regional Experts of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Eurasians - New Wave Foundation and the International Association of Veterans of the Alpha Special Forces with the support of the President’s Office.

Co-Chairman of the Pikir Club of Regional Experts of the Kyrgyz Republic Igor Shestakov told that Dzhumakadyr Akeneyev played a crucial role, not only in the fact that the republic became a full-fledged member of the Eurasian Economic Union, influencing its economic agenda, but also in deepening Eurasian integration as a whole.

“Dzhumakadyr Asankulovich made a lot of efforts for more effective participation of Kyrgyzstan in the processes of Eurasian integration. He was not only one of the leading experts of the EAEU countries, he was a real Eurasian man who saw great prospects for this integration association. Akeneev gave the most competent assessments and comments that touched on the problems and prospects for the participation of Kyrgyzstan in the Eurasian Union. He was not only a theorist, but also an advocate of empirical activity in matters relating to the processes of modernization of the national economy. His untimely passing is a big loss for Kyrgyzstan,” Co-Chairman of the Pikir Club of Regional Experts of the Kyrgyz Republic Igor Shestakov said.
