Bishkek, May 19, 2022. / Kabar /. The Eurasian Economic Forum (EAEU) will be held in Bishkek on May 26. More than a thousand representatives of business, authorities, business circles will become its participants. Except for entrepreneurship, one of the key topics at the forum will be the development of higher education. In particular, the forum will focus on the creation of a network university of the EAEU.
A similar university was previously created within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States. It is an equal cooperation of several CIS universities.
The issue of creating a network university of the EAEU is still under discussion and unambiguous criteria on conditions for joining various universities have not yet been formulated. But higher educational institutions of the EAEU countries should at least have a license to carry out educational activities and a certificate of state accreditation.
It became known from the agency’s own sources that if the countries agree on the creation of a new network university, then the form of education in it will combine both distance and full-time formats. That is, it will fully meet the requirements of the time.
As for the financing of the new university, this will primarily depend on interuniversity agreements. This can be both the funds of students and the funds of the universities, or other sources of funding that are not prohibited by the national legislation of the EAEU member states.
By combining the resources of several partner universities at once, the network university, firstly, will expand the list of educational programs. Secondly, the quality of education will be improved. Thirdly, the university will train specialists for the single labor market.
Graduates of the EAEU network university will not worry about the liquidity of their diplomas. The agreement on mutual recognition of documents issued by universities of the EAEU countries has been in force since 2014.
The issue of creating a network university will be considered at the upcoming Eurasian Economic Forum, which is held on May 26 in Bishkek.
