Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2024. /Kabar/. Heads of Governments of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) signed the concept of formation of a common exchange market of goods, the Eurasian Economic Commission said.
The document will help the development of national exchanges of the Eurasian “five” countries and will enable businesses to expand markets. In this case, consumers will have access to goods, the prices for which will be formed on a competitive basis.
The main objectives of the formation of a common exchange market for goods are the formation of objective market prices for exchange goods, growth of trade volumes in the Union, increase in the share of settlements in national currencies and the formation of fair pricing of EAEU goods on the world market.
In addition, the issues of exchange trade in energy commodities will be coordinated within the framework of work on the formation of common markets of energy resources.
Exchange of information between organizers of trades and infrastructural organizations of member states will be carried out by mutual agreement to the extent necessary to ensure effective operation of the common exchange market of good.
An advisory body - the Exchange Committee - is being established for interaction between the bodies of member states authorized to regulate exchange trading and the subjects of the common exchange market of goods of the EAEU.
The next step in the creation of a common exchange market of goods will be the development of a program for the development of exchange trading within the EAEU, which is planned to be approved at the level of heads of government by the end of 2024, the report says.
