Earthquake jolts Kyrgyzstan’s Batken

Bishkek, March 15, 2022 . / Kabar /. A 5-magnitude earthquake was recorded on the territory of Uzbekistan on Monday at 12:29 a.m., the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported with the reference to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences.

The quake’s tremors were felt in the villages Zhany-Zher, Dostuk, Kulundu, Zhany-Zhol of Leilek region of Batken Oblast with magnitude of 3.

In addition, 2.5-magnitude tremors were felt in villages and towns of Batken region.

As a result of the earthquake, no victims and destructions were reported.
