According to data of the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the earthquake source was located 3 km west of the village of Chapay, 3 km east of the village of Frunze, 5 km northwest of Nookat, 32 km southwest of Osh.
In populated areas of the Kyrgyz Republic, the intensity of the earthquake was: in Nookat, in the village of Chapay, in the village of Frunze - 3 points.
