EBRD to finance acquisition of ecological buses in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct.29, 2019. /Kabar/. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will finance the purchase of ecological buses and trolleybuses in Bishkek, Neil McKain, EBRD Director for Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan told reporters.

He said a deal is expected to be signed with the Bishkek Mayor's Office.

“We are discussing amount of funding. The Mayor's Office has plans,” he said.

Neil McKain explained the emphasis in the purchase of buses and trolleybuses will be on environmental friendliness.

The project is planned to be implemented in 2020.
