Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2022 . / Kabar / . Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Central Asia Zcuzsanna Hargitai, EBRD Regional Head in Kyrgyzstan Ayten Rustamova, and representatives of the Bank (EBRD).
During the meeting, issues of the energy sector, a number of investment projects in the field of green economy, irrigation, transport and infrastructure, as well as projects to support small and medium-sized businesses were discussed.
Daniyar Amangeldiev confirmed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to fully support the ongoing projects and programs in Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, Zcuzsanna Hargitai noted the readiness of the EBRD to support the Kyrgyz Republic projects on energy efficiency and renewable energy, drinking water supply, and projects for the development of entrepreneurship.
She also expressed interest in the development of new economic corridors.
The sides agreed to further increase bilateral cooperation, develop and implement new joint projects.
