As part of the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in the 56th Munich Security Conference, Chingiz Aidarbekov met with State Secretary of the State Ministry of Economics, Land Development and Energy of the Federal State of Bavaria (FRG) Roland Weigert.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the sides focused on considering issues related to the implementation of agreements following the visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Munich in April 2019 regarding the expansion of economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Bavaria, one of the leading federal states Federal Republic of Germany.
In this context, the Bavarian side informed about the visit of the business delegation of the business community of Bavaria to Kyrgyzstan in October 2020 and the holding in May of this year in Munich of the 1st Bavaria-Central Asia Economic Forum.
The Bavarian side expressed a request for the active and representative participation of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the country's business community in this important event. For his part, the Kyrgyz minister noted the readiness of the Kyrgyz delegation to participate in the Bavarian Economic Forum and for his part invited Weigert and the Bavarian delegation to take part in the 1st EU-CA economic forum in the summer of 2020 in Kyrgyzstan.
Weigert expressed interest in forming a long-term cooperation strategy.
