Issuance of labels. This week, Kyrgyzstan began issuing labeling codes to exporters of footwear products to Russia.

According to data of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, this procedure is carried out jointly with Alfa Telecom CJSC, which is the operator of the national labeling system in the Kyrgyz Republic and ensures interaction with the national operators of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.
Kyrgyzstan became one of the first countries in the EAEU to ensure the issuance of shoe labeling codes to its exporters. For this purpose, a set of measures was carried out for the technical integration of marking systems, as well as explanatory work among the domestic business community.
The issued codes are generated by the Russian labeling system and passed on to Kyrgyz exporters through the domestic operator of the national product labeling system.
Joint venture with the Turks. This week, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with deputy of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, a member of the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey parliamentary friendship group Nihat Yeshil.

At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of inter-parliamentary ties, cooperation in the cultural and trade-economic spheres, attracting investments and the creation of joint commercial and industrial enterprises in Kyrgyzstan.
Invitation to Koreans. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova met with President and Chairman of the ULP logistics company Joon Baek Seok and Jo Jae Yik.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of current trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
The ambassador suggested investing in the tourist infrastructure in the regions, the construction of trade and logistics centers, as well as the creation of joint ventures for the processing of agricultural organic products.
In turn, the president of ULP noted that the company has extensive experience in the field of logistics and providing travel services. He noted that in 2020 the company completed the construction of an ethnic town in Issyk-Kul Oblast and assured that he intends to visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future.
Who is more? It became known this week that in 2019 the employment rate for men was by 72% higher than that for women (43%).

According to data of National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the excess of the employment rate of men in terms of employment was noted in all age groups, but the most significant - in the age groups of 20-34 years.
At this age, women most often leave work in connection with the birth of a child. But already in the 40-54 age group, there is a convergence in the employment rates of men and women.
Women's employment is highest in the service sectors, where their share in total employment predominated in such areas of activity as real estate (94%), health and social services (81%), and education (79%).
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and regions. This week, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev held an online meeting with the local authorities in the regions and mayors of cities.

The virtual meeting was held with the participation of the leadership of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Agency for the Promotion and Protection of Investments of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Minister Kazakbaev indicated that the Foreign Ministry pays special attention to the promotion of potential of regions and conducts purposeful work together with foreign diplomatic missions of Kyrgyzstan to attract foreign investments, promote export and tourism potential of the country. At the same time, he informed about the Plan of anti-crisis measures and step-by-step actions adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was developed in order to ensure the stabilization of the socio-economic situation in the country.
Contribution of the SRS. It was announced this week that Infocom State Enterprise under the State Registration Service (SRS) of Kyrgyzstan transferred in 2020 to the republican budget about KGS 70 million, received from the sale of certificates for license plates with a special combination of numbers.

As a result, 91% of the amount received from the sale of state license plates with a special combination and 100% for registered license plates was transferred to the country's budget.
Compared to 2019, the number of license plates produced on cars has decreased by 99 thousand plates. During this period, 458 thousand license plates were produced.
In total, in 2020, more than 360 thousand license plates were manufactured.
Mortgage. It was announced this week that a lot of funds are needed for the state mortgage, and the demand for mortgage loans in the country is quite large.

Head of the Board of the State Mortgage Company Elmira Abzhaparova said that today more than 6 thousand citizens are registered on the portal of the company, who request more than KGS 9 billion.
“It is clear that there is no such sum in the state budget, and this amount cannot be provided by the budget. Therefore, the State Mortgage Company works with international donors. In 2020, we were able to attract or use KGS 337 million as part of financing from the German Development Bank. They are currently implementing the first line of the project for EUR 10.5 million,” Abzhaparova said.
She noted that this project is aimed at financing mortgages for low-income families living in rural areas.
Support for borrowers. The government of Kyrgyzstan paid out KGS 286.1 million to borrowers of financial and credit organizations as part of state support due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to data of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to provide support to borrowers due to the coronavirus pandemic and the social situation in the country, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted a decree on the provision of state support.
To restore and ensure economic activity in the context of the spread of coronavirus infection, the Government of the country is implementing the Program "Financing of Business Entities" of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Food prices. Prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in the republic as a whole increased in 2020 by 17.6% compared to the previous year.

Prices were increased: vegetable oil by 49.0%, potatoes - 48.4%, granulated sugar - 31.2%, fresh meat - 26.3 %, chicken eggs - 23.6%, fresh fruits - 17.6%, buckwheat - 16.7%, flour - 16.1%, pasta - 13.7%, fresh vegetables - 10.3%, natural honey - 7.8%, smoked fish - 7.1%, soft drinks - 6.3%, rice - 5.7%, pasteurized milk 2.5-3.2% fat content - 5.1%, bread - 4.0% and cheese - 3.8%.
Joint work. This week, chairman of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kabyl Abdaliev, held talks with Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach in the format of a video conference.

The sides discussed issues of promoting the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation on the development of the tax administration system in Kyrgyzstan, as well as priority measures for the practical implementation of the project.
During the negotiations, Abdaliev informed about the ongoing work on the entry into force of the Agreement, stressing a great interest in the early start of practical work on the implementation of its provisions.
In turn, Volvach informed about the status of the project's progress in the Russian Federation, as well as about the full readiness of the Federal Tax Service to start practical work.
