The week of business Kyrgyzstan was quite eventful. It was announced that last year less than 1 million tons of fuel and lubricants were imported into the country, but at the same time, more than 1 million tons of crops were harvested. It was also announced that soon it will be necessary to present documents for the origin of the money when exporting or importing into the country. In general, the week showed that activity in the country is gaining momentum.

Import of fuels and lubricants. A total of 972.9 thousand tons of oil products were imported to Kyrgyzstan in 2019.

According to data of the Association of Oil Traders of the Kyrgyz Republic, 453.8 thousand tons of petrol and 519.1 thousand tons of diesel fuel were delivered.

Oil traders fully cover the republic’s needs for fuel and lubricants, thereby realizing their main task of providing Kyrgyzstan with oil products, while avoiding any shortage, according to the Association.

The main and only source of fuel and lubricants supplies to the republic is the Russian Federation.

“Due to the high level of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, achieved and supported by the country's leadership, the supply of petroleum products is exempted from export duties. This form of support from the Russian side allows consumers of Kyrgyzstan to save significant amounts,” oil traders added.

Harvest per million. In 2019, more than 1 million tons of vegetables were harvested in Kyrgyzstan, which exceeded the same indicator of the previous year by 3.5%.

According to data of the National Statistics Committee, more than 240 thousand tons of tomatoes were harvested, or 7.1% more, carrots - about 182 thousand tons (3.2% more), cucumbers - 130 thousand tons, or 8.7% more. Garlic harvest volumes increased by almost 25%.

Nominal GDP amounted to KGS 590 billion. The reason for not reaching the forecast indicator for the nominal volume of GDP is the low level of the GDP deflator, which formed at the level of 99.2%.

Auction money. The budget of Kyrgyzstan received KGS 43 million 613.7 thousand from holding auctions for the right to use subsoil.

According to data of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic, in 2019 the agency held 10 auctions. Thus, the republican budget received USD 627 thousand 535 or KGS 43 million 613.7 thousand.
